It gives me great pleasure to be writing our first newsletter for Beiport Outfitters. After months of brainstorming, preparation and hard work, our idea has finally come to fruition. The idea to start an outfitter that caters for hiring of suits, as well as selling suits has really been at the back of my partners and my mind for a long time now. It has been great fun and a huge learning curve in thinking of all the things that one needs to have to start a successful business.

I think the biggest lesson that we have learnt thus far, is to work to each others strengths in a business, never take no for an answer and never dismiss an idea until you have given it sufficient thought. For us the fun began in trying to think of a name and logo for our business. This took many sleepless nights and days of near insanity as your brain is processing words and more words that might be suitable for a name. But once you have the name, it just sticks and you know it is the one.

At Beiport our mission statement is “To be a well liked, well-known and respected Mens Outfitter. We would like to be known for our quality products and quality service resulting in us being the first port of call for men who need formal attire.”

My partner and I both have a passion for good service, good quality merchandise and helping where there is a need. We are therefore extremely excited about our new venture and look forward to servicing all our potential customers in the future.

Please pay us a visit at our shop, have a browse through our quality suits, and see if there are any accessories that take your fancy, be it novelty socks, top hats, waistcoats or ties and bowties. We are fully equipped to cater for your every need, be it the “big day” of being a groom or bestman or your first formalwear occasion at your school dance. We would love to be there to help you look your best at these momentous moments.
